"Something's different. Your face?"
I just got back from Bali… and wow.
I don’t even know where to begin.
This was my first time ever facilitating fascia release at a retreat — and apparently I decided to make my debut across the world with Swell Women. Go big or go home, right?
Bali was truly magical in a way that’s hard to put into words. Something about the energy, the people, the pace, and the way health + spirituality sit at the center of everything… it gets under your skin in the best possible way.
If you want a little glimpse of the trip, I put together a fun reel here:
Bali Reel
Some of the highlights:
Facilitating self-release classes and Fascia Remedy sessions and watching people’s minds go when their low back pain disappeared from a strategic adductor release (my favorite party trick).
Learning to surf (kind of?). I did manage to stand up and ride 8 or so waves, and hearing the instructor boys cheering all the way from the beach for aggressive mediocre surfing still makes me smile. I'll also never forget our last lesson in the POURING rain — the kind where you can barely see but everyone is laughing like feral children at recess. Peak joy.
Breathwork + meditation sessions that released SO much stagnant energy. I came home noticeably different — one of my longtime clients literally stopped in their tracks and said, “Something's different. Something about your face. You're… happy? I can't put my finger on it."
And most of all: the connection.
Sharing stories. Supporting one another. Laughing. Crying. Creating space for transformation.
Those parts weren’t caught on camera, but they were the most healing of all.
Which brings me to you…
This retreat was a critical reminder of just how much community matters in our healing. Techniques are powerful. Knowledge is powerful. But feeling seen, supported, and not alone? That’s where real healing accelerates.
So thank you — truly — for being a part of this community with me.
As we head into the final weeks of the year, I would love to hear from you:
Is there something you’re struggling with right now?
A topic or area of the body you’d love a class or mini-course on?
A routine you wish existed?
A deeper dive you’d love to see me teach about in 2026?
Do you want to come on the next retreat?
I’m here to listen!
I want to understand what you need most right now so I can continue creating courses, workshops, and support that genuinely help you feel better, move better, and live better in your body.
Just hit reply — I read every response.
P.S. Promise I won’t make you surf in a monsoon… unless you really want to.

Possibly, yes. This retreat was such a powerful experience and such a beautiful reminder of how much healing can happen in community. If future retreat opportunities open up, I would love to share them with this community.
-
Because healing is not just about techniques. Feeling seen, supported, and connected can help the nervous system settle and create space for deeper change. Community often becomes the piece that helps everything else land more fully.
-
Yes. Sometimes small, strategic releases can create surprisingly noticeable shifts in pain, tension, and movement. While every body is different, it is not uncommon for people to feel a meaningful change when the right area is addressed.
-
Stepping outside of daily routines can create space for the body and mind to reset. When you combine rest, movement, breathwork, connection, and new experiences, it often becomes easier to release patterns that have felt stuck for a long time.
-
Absolutely. The body often reflects what we have been carrying physically, mentally, and emotionally. When stress begins to release and the nervous system feels safer, people often notice changes in posture, facial expression, energy, and overall presence.
