"Pain Relief Through Fascia, Mindset, and More" (FB live with Ian Gilligan)

This past Monday I was a guest on Ian Gilligan's (Breathwork and Enlifted Coach) Facebook live! We had so much fun talking mindset, pain, and nerding out on fascia facts you may have never heard before.

We dive into my story, why I created Pain Liberation Academy, and all the juicy details of this new program starting next Monday, August 17th. I also announced a surprise bonus for PLA:

Ian will be giving a breathwork seminar on how to use breathe to reduce stress AND reduce pain! I'm so excited for him to share with you this powerful tool in your healing process.

There are still a few spots available! If you are ready to lose your low back pain, learn all the tools you need to keep it away, and get back to the activities you love, schedule a call with me or email me at movementbyjulia@gmail.com. I'd love to talk to you about what you've been experiencing, your goals, and to make sure you are a great fit for the program!

Only four days left to join!

  • Fascia and mindset are deeply connected because fascia responds to stress, emotional load, and perceived threat. When the nervous system stays in a protective or stressed state, fascia can tighten, dehydrate, and restrict movement—often creating chronic pain. Addressing both the physical tissue and the mental/emotional patterns helps the body feel safe enough to release pain.

  • Yes. Breathwork can significantly reduce pain by calming the nervous system, improving oxygenation, and reducing unconscious muscular and fascial tension. When breathing becomes shallow or stressed, the body stays in a guarded state. Intentional breathing techniques help shift the body out of fight-or-flight and support lasting pain relief.

  • Pain can persist even when MRIs or X-rays show nothing because many pain patterns originate in fascia, nervous system dysregulation, and learned protective responses—not structural damage. Fascia restrictions, stress patterns, and subconscious guarding do not show up on imaging but can have a powerful impact on pain and movement.

  • A fascia-based approach focuses on how the body is adapting, not just where it hurts. Instead of chasing symptoms, fascia work addresses movement patterns, hydration of tissue, nervous system input, and long-held tension—often leading to faster and more lasting results than symptom-based treatments alone.

  • Pain Liberation Academy is designed for people who are tired of managing pain and want to understand their body at a deeper level. It’s especially helpful for those with chronic or recurring pain—such as low back pain—who want tools that combine fascia release, nervous system regulation, mindset work, and breathwork to create lasting change.
